Episode Description:
The EDF prepares for a big push against the Radamu, aided by the new power source Maro
designed for them and with Tekkaman Sol. Colbert exults as his plans proceed, and he
brushes off Freeman’s warnings of taking too many risks. “You are sending ALL your
troops on this operation,” Freeman says. “If something goes wrong, you won’t be able to
protect Earth from a new Radamu attack!” Colbert ignores the warning, and refuses to
return D-Boy to the Space Knights. “Operation Heaven Strike will continue!” Colbert
decrees, as Balzac leads EDF forces in trying to re-take the Orbital Ring. The EDF
forces bring along supplies and help the pilot reload as necessary, and the aliens fall
quickly to their new weapons. At Space Knight HQ, Aki is trying to persuade Freeman to do
more to free D-Boy, and even Noal agrees that the EDF won’t do anything for him. He and Aki
stalk off down the corridor when Freeman continues to ignore them, concentrating on working
his computer. He’s on to something and won’t stop for anything. Rebin and Honda eventually
leave as well, leaving only Miri to keep the Chief company - until he gives her a computer
disk with information for Noal and Aki. At the EDF “hospital” the psychologists seem more
interested in interrogating the psychotic D-Boy than helping him break out of his psychosis,
pushing him deeper into his hallucinations instead. In those dreams, Blade has finished
killing off his friends, and now Evil arises from the blackness. “So...you have re-joined us,
Blade?” Evil asks silkily. D-Boy sees those deaths again, ending with Aki being cut in two.
Then D-Boy wakes up from those dreams. “He’s right, I am a monster,” he whispers. Noal and
Aki have infiltrated EDF HQ; the computer disk gave them a map to the structure. They plan to
break D-Boy free. Above, Tekkaman Sol is again being re-armed as the battle continues. An
energy burst surprises them - this time it is no Radamu, but Tekkaman Evil instead. A Radamu
controlled Tekkaman, with no mental problems to stop him from attacking full-bore. Balzac
quickly learns that Tekkaman Sol is no match for a real Tekkaman. All the firepower of the
EDF forces don’t even phase the Tekkaman. Aki and Noal hear the information over the base
loudspeakers, and know they must get to D-Boy quickly. Miri uses the information on the disk
to help open doors for the two. Aki finds the cell they’re looking for - as Evil rapidly wipes
up the floor with the EDF troops. Balzac, still overconfident from the ease with which he
cowed D-Boy, attacks - but Evil walks right through his blasts as if it were no more than a
wind to confront the mecha-clad warrior. Aki and Noal are trying to get through to D-Boy,
but are not having much success - he is still hallucinating off and on. “No, no, I don’t want
to kill all my friends! Stop, stop!” D-Boy screams until Aki slaps him in an attempt to
penetrate his nightmarish visions. Balzac continues to fight against Evil, but more and more
of his men are dying. Evil demands to know where Takaya - Blade - is. D-Boy admits to his
friends that he’s afraid Balzac is right - he IS a monster, and with only a little pushing he
could go over the edge and kill his friends. “Can’t you see?” he demands. “Every time I
become Blade I risk going berserk again. I can’t face it!” Now only Balzac faces Evil, the
rest of the EDF troops fled or killed by the Tekkaman’s superior firepower. “Where is Blade?”
Evil demands. “Blade is nothing!” Balzac replies. “Just as you will soon be nothing, monster
and traitor!” Balzac still hasn’t learned; Evil easily withstands the attacks. Tekkaman Sol
runs out of ammo - and Tekkaman Evil destroys the few remaining troops who try to protect Sol
before hitting the mecha with his own power blast. Tekkaman Sol is blown away, and the EDF
troops report to HQ they are trying to retreat. The Radamu take the opportunity to launch a
new attack on Earth, this time focusing on EDF HQ. Colbert freaks out as their instruments
show thousands of Radamu dropping from the Ring towards Earth. Freeman watches too, with a
sinking heart, knowing that if Colbert had taken his advice the world would not be naked to
the attack. Noal and Aki are still trying to convince D-Boy that he won’t berserk on his
friends, not knowing that now Tekkaman Blade is their only hope...
