Ai to Shi no Yokan
Premonition of Love and Death

.
. Episode Description:

On the moon, Evil makes his way to Omega’s ‘throne room’. He looks at the bubbles of liquid on either side of Omega’s dais. Two humans, curled up and seemingly asleep, are in them. These new Tekkamen will be used in an attack against the Space Knight HQ. One is masculine but his features are blurred, the second is female - we’ll recognize her features in a later episode as belonging to Miyuki, younger sister to Evil/Shinya and Blade/Takaya. On the homeworld, D-Boy is running across a barren landscape until he reaches a promontory overlooking the Space Knight base, where he ponders on Aki’s words when she brought him out of his hallucinations. Aki is handing a computer disk back to Freeman back in the base, and thanks him for its use. Noal is busy practicing his marksmanship with the Sol armor, as Honda and Rebin watch and argue good naturedly with each other. Aki meets D-Boy as he returns from his run. They talk for a few minutes, D-Boy clearly uncomfortable with discussing his own feelings. Noal challenges D-Boy to a ‘friendly’ game of racquetball. After defeating the younger man, Noal cheerfully remarks “The Tekkaman may be a monster, but it’s a human under the armor, hmm?” He also seems to acknowledge that it is D-Boy that Aki is now interested in, rather than himself. Evil is now resting inside a Radamu cocoon, plotting how to defeat Blade the next time they meet. One of the bubbles beside Omega’s dais is acting strangely; the light within it is blinking on and off. It is Miyuki’s. The bubble bursts, its contents - liquid and human - spilling out onto the rough floor. Miyuki stands free, breathing hard, then armors up and heads out for Earth. Evil feels her escape and finds the empty hole in the wall where the bubble was. “Tekkaman - Rapier!” he thinks to himself. By this time Miyuki is passing the Orbital Ring and crash lands in Egypt (if the pyramids in the foreground are any indication of location, anyway). D-Boy feels her arrival but is not sure what’s going on; Evil is hot on her trail. Evil’s ‘aura’ is the stronger so D-Boy assumes it is only his younger twin brother he feels coming closer. “Blue Earth” launches in response, looking for Evil. They land, (but it’s not Egypt, but a forested area they are now in - I think it’s supposed to be the Alps) and Noal as Sol goes searching - sort of a stalking horse to try and draw Evil out as well as save D-Boy from using up too much energy too quickly. They know only too well that the Sol Tekkaman is no real match for the armored Shinya. D-Boy, Aki and Pegas go searching on foot. “I love you too,” D-Boy shyly admits to Aki, then must break off as he senses Tekkaman Evil nearby. Aki runs after him and Pegas as D-Boy enters an abandoned church. Shinya is above him, standing in front of a huge stained glass window. Aki arrives, and D-Boy tells Pegas to guard her. “A pretty Space Knight girlfriend you have there, older brother,” Shinya says. “Older brother? I can’t believe it - D-Boy and Tekkaman Evil are brothers?” Aki whispers to herself. The two brothers argue, then Shinya becomes Evil - and as Pegas releases Aki to let D-Boy enter, the young man tells her to go summon Noal. “Understood!” she nods and runs away. The two Tekkamen burst out of the roof of the church and fight savagely. Evil says something about Aki being D-Boy’s new weak point, and he counters that she is a strength. Then Evil tries to kill Aki, but Pegas shields her. “So long as you must protect her, you can’t take full scope of action against me,” Evil says. The two brothers fire off blasts of energy at each other. Evil’s is stronger and Blade shields Aki with his own armored form; Evil demonstrates he can control the flight of his destructive ball of energy, which he calls “cybertech”. Noal arrives just in time, distracting Evil for long enough that he loses control of the plasma ball. Evil senses Rapier, and flies off after her - finding and destroying the rogue before she can reunite with Takaya is more important than finishing off Blade for the moment. “Miyuki...” D-Boy whispers as he passes out. “So, Evil is D-Boy’s younger brother?” Noal muses as he and Aki later keep watch on the unconscious Takaya. “It must be awfully hard, having to fight your own sibling.” D-Boy is dreaming about Miyuki as he wakes up. “Well,” Aki says softly to him, “We now know you have a family...a younger brother, and a sister...” “Yes...Miyuki...” D-Boy replies. And in a desert sandstorm, wrapped up in only a blanket, Miyuki stares into the wind. “Older brother...” she says with an effort.
