Shirow Majin
White Demon

.
. Episode Description:

This episode starts with a new opening song and credit video sequence; the new song is a bit more ‘harder rock’ than the previous one was. After the mandatory “this has gone on before” intro, the words “five months later” flash onto the screen just prior to the episode title. Radamu continue to rain down on Earth, their spores continuing to adapt Earth’s environment so it can support the adult Radamu. Mankind retreats further and further, abandoning cities in favor of remote, desolate areas...like the deserts of Arabia, where this episode opens. Some Arabic-appearing people are busy conducting a guerrilla war against the alien enemy. They catch the alien soldiers in traps and pitfalls, only moving in with weapons to finish off the Radamu when they’re sure the enemy is incapable of inflicting much damage in return. “We need a white magician like Tekkaman Blade to help fight these demons,” says one young man. “I know, but the Space Knights and Tekkaman Blade haven’t been seen for months now,” his grandfather tells him. The Arabs leave the trapped Radamu to die. Behind them a man, face concealed by a kuffiyah, comes up and looks down at the alien beast. The fighters open up a concealed door, where one begins to unlock a thick door and connects up a hidden radio. Above, the youngster and his grandfather talk to the newcomer. The ground begins to shake, and a Radamu emerges from the ground where it has been hiding. The Arabs shoot at it with their rifles, but the small arms fire has no effect. Everyone runs for cover. The newcomer shoots at it with a powerful handgun to cover the retreat, but even that has little effect on the monster. The young man is lost to sight in the dust; the Radamu starts to explode - and Sol Tekkaman emerges from the dust. Tekkaman Axe appears, riding a Radamu “steed” at the forefront of a herd of flying Radamu warriors. Axe demands to know where Blade is; Noal tells him he hasn’t seen D-Boy since the Space Knight base was destroyed five months before. Then Noal fires at the enemy forces, knowing that they’ll give him no quarter. Axe laughs at Sol Tekkaman’s efforts and closes in. As in the past, the Earth- built Tekkaman proves no match for a Radamu-‘grown’ Tekkaman. Before Axe can land the final blow, an energy blast coming out of the sun catches him from behind. It is Tekkaman Blade, arriving on Pegas. D-Boy has learned a lot about how his armor works and how to best use its capabilities in the time he has been lost to his comrades. Axe watches as Blade makes short work of the Radamu warriors Axe commanded. “Truly a White Magician,” the Arab boy comments as the fighters watch the confrontation. Axe and Blade fight, and Noal is impressed by the skill D-Boy now displays. Blade almost kills Axe, but misses his target; Axe gets in a blow that distracts D-Boy for the instant the Radamu controlled warrior needs to escape and beat a hasty retreat. D-Boy and Noal then greet each other with feeling. As they walk along a shore, D- Boy tells Noal that he blamed himself for Miyuki’s death. If he had been able to use the full capability of the Blade armor, perhaps he could have saved her. He has been spending his time trying to learn everything that he can do with the Tekkaman Weapon System, so he can fight his foes much better, and won’t let his allies down in the future. Then Noal takes D-Boy off with him to the camp he and the other Space Knight survivors have made. Rebin, Miri, and Aki are all cleaning up after dinner as the two arrive, and Aki happily runs into D-Boy’s arms - after Noal has pushed the younger man physically forward! And yes, there is a new closing song and video sequence as well this episode.
