Fukushu no Machi
The Town of Vengence

.
. Episode Description:

This episode opens with a revised opening video, but the opening song remains the same. The team is looking with a certain amount of depression at the Radamu-dominated landscape. Rebin has been teasing D-Boy, and when Aki is forced to brake suddenly the young bishonen ends up in D-Boy’s lap, to the young man’s irritation and Rebin’s glee. There is another town ahead, whose lights have just become visible. They decide to go there and see if they can pick up some needed supplies. They find themselves in the local bar, where they find they are not welcome. Noal has to drag D-Boy out before the younger man starts a fight. Rebin sees something in one man’s pocket and makes a comment as a result. Outside, they discuss the situation and decide to head back to camp. Rebin tells them he recognized something and will work on that angle. He heads back into town and the bar. He ends up with about two dozen guns pointed in his direction. They are interrupted by the arrival of Rebin’s opposite - a rather masculine-looking woman named Mari. (Rebin at first thinks Mari is a ‘he’, another bishonen.) She is the commander of the local resistance group. Rebin is blown away by Mari’s air of command. “Cool!!” Rebin breaths in near hero-worship as Mari and two of her men leave. As he later talks to the others about the meeting he’s supposed to have with Mari, Rebin is primping like a girl preparing for a big date. Aki and D-Boy are ‘sight-seeing’ among the local ruins. “This must have been a handsome building before the Radamu moved in,” D-Boy says wistfully. Back at the bar, Rebin is arguing with Mari when an alarm siren goes off. Mari organizes her troops for combat. D-Boy notes the activity from the camp and he and Noal watch proceedings warily. He wants to enter the combat at once, but Noal advises him to stay in reserve while Sol Tekkaman goes out; no need to let the Radamu know right away that they have Blade as an ace up their sleeve. Mari’s men fight admirably but the overwhelming numbers of the enemy begin to take a toll. Mari takes Rebin to the castle on the hill, where a huge energy cannon is stored. Mari shows him a picture of herself and her late fiancé; the Radamu killed him before they could be married. “My name then was Anna,” she says sadly. That’s why Mari hates the enemy with such passion, and wears the same uniform her fiancé once wore. Rebin tells her he will help pilot the cannon. Mari’s troops relay to them videos from the battle; a Radamu Tekkaman has shown up riding on one of the flying aliens. Rebin recognizes him as Tekkaman Axe. The enemy Tekkaman is soon making short work of the human troops. In her anger and distress Mari fires the cannon, making short work of the Radamu who get in the way but missing Axe. Now Axe knows where the weapon he’s been searching for is located, and he attacks. Blade arrives and tries to distract Axe from his target. When Axe attacks, he knocks Blade into the barrel of the cannon, cracking it in two. Then Sol Tekkaman joins the fray as well. Axe is forced to retreat; his main objective - the energy cannon - has been damaged, perhaps beyond repair. Mari/Anna and Rebin shake hands. They will try to repair the weapon. At least the town is now safe - for the moment!
